Sports and the Young Mind

The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation, Project Play WNY, and the University at Buffalo’s Center for the Advancement of Sport, present the Project Play WNY Community Conversation: Sports and the Young Mind.

Building off the success of previous Community Conversations, Sport and the Young Mind is a free event on Friday, February 28, 2020, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at UB’s Center for Tomorrow.  Doors will open for registration at 8 a.m. The event includes breakfast and lunch, and free parking will be available in lots adjacent to the Center.

The event seeks to engage educators, non profit administrators and those adults that are involved or have an interest in WNY youth and college sports. The program includes locally and nationally recognized experts who will discuss the role free play and sports can have in healing or strengthening the young mind.

The morning session focuses on youth preschool age through middle school. The afternoon session focuses on student-athlete and professional athlete mental health. Please join us for either session or the full day, whichever suits your interests and schedule.

Space is limited so please reserve your spot today.
