Project Play Western New York: 2019 Community Conversations

We are organizing events to bring together individuals and organizations throughout our region to address the calls for action in the State of Play WNY report.

In November 2017, we held a series of community conversations about youth sports in Western New York.   One of the strongest pieces of feedback we received from those conversations was that attendees valued the event and desired more opportunities to discuss how we can work together to improve WNY youth sports access, quality and participation.

Later this year, Project Play WNY will be launching an enhanced website that we hope will become the first stop for all things youth sport in our region. In the meantime, we are organizing events to bring together individuals and organizations throughout our region to address the calls for action in the State of Play WNY report.

Our first such event will take place on Saturday, March 23 when Project Play Western New York Train All Coaches working group will host State of Play Western New York: A 2019 Update. The free event will take place at the Lexus Club in the Key Bank Center from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will include a number of nationally known keynote speakers, local coaches and panel and roundtable discussions about the true benefits of a quality youth sport experience. Breakfast and lunch will be served. A limited number of tickets are available to the public; for more information or to reserve tickets, email projectplaywny@cfgb.org.
