  • Supporting Young People in the Wake of Violence and Trauma

    This guide was developed to help mentors build relationships with young people that affirm their experiences and cultivate a sense of safety after incidents of violence or traumatic events occur.

  • Understanding and Addressing Trauma through Mentoring Webinar

    Developing an understanding and the skills to address trauma in mentoring relationships is crucial. This webinar will address the basics of understanding trauma and trauma-informed care and will provide tips, strategies and frameworks for you to use for your mentoring relationships and yourselves.

    Topics include talking with brown and black youth amid racial injustice and nurturing the mental health of our young people.

  • Tips on Taking Action and Educating Yourself about Racial Injustice

    In partnership with Dr. Rolanda L. Ward from Niagara University and Chotsani Williams West from Adelphi University, MENTOR New York has compiled the following action steps that program leaders can take against racial injustice and resources to become educated on racial injustice.
